The great photographic exploration......

We thought after yesterdays walk we should give the kids a rest, Marty and Cam  were happy to stay at camp with them, but before we let them rest we all headed off to the Circular Pool lookout so they could drop us off and get some pics looking down to the pool. Ton and l thought we would work ourselves backwards than the day prior so it wouldn't be a total repeat of the day prior.  After saying our farewells, and we did our silent fist pumps as they drove away,  Ton and l set out for the long walk, determined to capture the perfect shot.  Yeah l know, your probably thinking we are bloody insane, but we were so excited for one, to be getting away by ourselves, and two, to have a crack at practicing our photographic skills in peace and quiet, that who could resist.  Other wives and mothers will totally understand what lengths you would go to to get some alone time!! Lol...

Girls not too sad Mum is heading out for the day without them...

So we set off to start the walk down to Circular Pools....then head back thru Dales Gorge to exit out at Fortescue Falls.  It was such a great day.  Time flew so quickly, by the time we stopped and set up the tripods, took a few shots and moved on to the next spot, it was late morning and we had only got to Circular Pool....we had to get cracken to get back in a reasonable time and not worry the boys....Hope these pics impress you all, l know l am chuffed with them.

Our view on arriving at the entrance of Circular Pool.

So tranquil

Love the different colors...

One of my favs....no photoshop either!

Such a textural spot...

Looking back out towards the exit of Circular Pool

The small falls into Circular Pool

The reflections were amazing...

On our way out we got some more time to capture the essence of this quiet and restful place.....

White gum overlooking the pool....

Ton and l lugged our cameras and tripods on our backs as we trekked thru Dales Gorge to another set of waterways.  We finally arrived and spent over an hour trying out different shot ideas and settings.  Tonia has been a huge mentor and teacher to me, finally l feel l actually know how to work the camera to get the best performance out of it.  The following shots are my favorites from our photographic session down at the small water area.....

Saw this friendly critter sun baking along our walk..

We have arrived at a waterway within Dales Gorge....just amazing!

Just breathtaking if l must say....

Loving the color and shapes of the surrounding cliffs....

Love the soft flow of water and ripples
below..

Bit blown out in sky, but love the reds and greens in the shot.

Hadn't seen a caterpillar since l was a kid l reckon....

When we eventually got to Fortescue Falls, a bit behind schedule due to loosing track of time, there was old faithful Cam sitting on the rocks waiting for us.....Think he was a little worried or he just needed to get away from the kids??  Anyway, hope you enjoyed the wondrous visual l have tried to capture in this post, l am so in love with photography and hope that my photo's will only keep improving as l continue thru trial and error to hone my preoccupation with photography.....
